Newly enrolling patients: The Government subsidy available to your GP Practice will not be made available for up to 3 months from the date of your

enrolment. Your first appointment requires payment prior to consultation or service. Without prior payment for your first consultation, your enrolment may

be declined, and your appointment may be cancelled. A full Casual Fee will be charged in the event that the Practice agrees to consult without pre-payment.


Standard Consultation: A standard consultation is 15 minutes duration. During a standard consultation, the doctor may complete one involved or two simple

matters. The doctor will advise you if multiple requests cannot be met within a standard 15-minute consultation, and deal with the most clinically urgent item

at your initial appointment.


Extended Consultations: An extended consultation is 30 minutes duration. If you require an extended (Double) consultation, this must be requested when

booking your appointment. The charge for a double consultation is double the standard consultation fee.


Enrolled patients: Vercoe Brown and Associates does not hold patient accounts. Your payment is expected on the day of consultation or service.


Non-attendance Fee: Failure to attend for your appointment or failure to cancel at least one (1) hour BEFORE your scheduled appointment time, may incur a

charge up to the rate of a standard doctor consultation fee.


Paper Statements: To reduce our carbon footprint Vercoe Brown and Associates sends out emails (or texts) for monies outstanding. Emailed statements

showing an outstanding balance are generated monthly. Patients who do not have a cell phone or have selected (at enrolment) ‘No Text Messages’ (SMS),

will continue to receive a paper notification of outstanding balance at the start of each calendar month. *Full transactional paper statements are available on

request.


Unpaid monies of more than 60 days: Further routine medical attention* will be withheld pending payment / part payment of your outstanding balance. 

* (excludes urgent medical attention which we will continue to provide).


We welcome direct credit payments to our bank account: VERCOE BROWN & ASSOCIATES LTD 06 0925 0184729 00. Please quote your full name and NHI if

known.


A regular Automatic payment set up through your bank is another option you may wish to use to cover your medical costs. 


The following payment methods are accepted at this Practice: Eftpos, Mastercard/Visa, Cash, Direct Bank Credit. We do not accept American Express.


The  Commerce Commission now allows businesses to pass on Visa and MasterCard credit card transaction costs to customers who choose to pay by this

method. Vercoe Brown and Associates have opted NOT to pass on these charges to our patients but reserves the right to do so.


Casual (non-enrolled patients) may access medical care with FULL payment (‘Casual’ fee) prior to consultation or service IF there is available staff to see the

patient or provide the service. With respect, our enrolled patient population are our priority.
